THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX... My most favorite part of the Color Packs is the versatility! Just think... with 3 covers in each pack, you could make a matching set of Journals with coordinating covers (IE... Scripture, Sabbath & General Conf)! Add a set of tabs, pens and bottle caps and that's a NICE gift! Use one cover for your PLANNER and make a MATCHING NOTEBOOK to go with it! You can also use 2 cover designs (front & back) for any journal or planner... or use two different ones together! Etc, etc... so many options!

COVERS: I recommend printing your covers on glossy photo paper using your printer's best quality print setting. I also prefer using the "borderless" option on my printer so the ink goes to the edge of the paper. If this option isn't available to you, you will have a small white border around all four edges... or you can have it printed at a copy shop instead. I also recommend laminating your covers to extend their durability (besides, that makes them GLOSSY - and who doesn't want more of that in their life?)

DIVIDERS: Print dividers single sided on a thin card stock or matte photo paper; use your "borderless" option if you have it (or print at a copy shop). If you are using my EVERYDAY or LATTER-DAY LIFESTYLE Planner, for your convenience, the left side of the monthly calendar has been provided in a separate file. After the dividers are printed, re-insert into your printer (making sure the order is correct) and print the back side. This is the reason I recommend NOT using glossy paper - as it will be tough to write on the calendar side if it's not a matte finish paper. Then, just insert them into your planner before binding! The monthly dividers an also be used in many of my journals - just forgo using the calendar backs.

DIVIDER TABS: For best results, print on full sheet glossy sticker paper or brochure paper using your printer's BEST quality print setting. Trim tabs with scissors OR use a 1" round punch. To apply tabs to your planner if using sticker paper... peel off sticker back and fold in half over the edge of the appropriate page. Stagger each tab down the edge of the paper as desired. If using regular or brochure paper; simply fold in half over the edge of the paper and staple. You can also cut the divider tab in half and not worry about folding over the paper's edge if you choose. To increase durability, cover tab with clear packaging tape prior to cutting or punching - or apply after you put the tab in place. Using these tabs is optional; a blank set is included for your convenience if using these tabs for other categories, planners or journals.

PEN INSERTS (RSVP PENTEL PENS): For best results, print on glossy brochure paper using your printer's BEST quality print setting OR print at a local copy shop. Next, trim each piece and roll long-ways around a pencil to start a curl, then work the curl to be small enough to fit inside pen tube. Open the end of an RSVP Pentel clear pen and insert curled strip (see my shop for picture tutorial). Trim excess paper if needed and replace ink back inside and secure tip. If needed, use tweezers to twist or grab paper to adjust.

BOTTLE CAP IMAGES: Print your 4x6 at a local photo lab just like you would any 4x6 photo (but de-select the "auto color correction" option if it is checked for you). OR, print at home on photo paper (just remember to set your paper size to 4x6). Punch image with 1" round punch and apply epoxy sticker. Next, following the instructions on the tube, use E6000 glue to adhere to bottle cap. My favorite way to use bottle caps with my planners is to adhere it to a 4" paper clip (using the E6000 again).

RESIZE YOUR PDF & PRINT SMALLER JOURNALS & PLANNERS! The simplest way I've found to "shrink" a standard PDF is to FIRST determine a smaller size that you like AND that is closely proportional to 8.5x11. Next, trim your paper to that size BEFORE PRINTING (this is the KEY)! Load it into your printer and when you hit "print" - in the Print Properties box that opens, change your paper size to match the size you want (the size you trimmed your paper). If the paper size you want isn't listed as a size option, you can go into your Control Panel/Printers and in Print Properties add a custom paper size. My favorite "smaller" size is 6x8!
