If you LOVED my Dandelion Salve this past Spring... you will "FALL" in love immediately with my Fall Salve! After the dandelions poof and disapper, Mother Nature sends a new flower to bloom... YARROW! It has amazingly similar medicinal properties to dandelion (anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic) and when I pair it with the common Summer plant plantain, it becomes a powerhouse infection fighter, pain-reliever and skin healer! Infused together in oil, they merge to become a skin-soothing balm that tackles all of your Winter skin woes.

 In our home... We use it to sooth and heal bug bites, stings, scrapes, cuts, burns, scars, acne (spot corrector), night/eye cream (my favorite use), heel cracks, dry/chaffed skin, dry elbows, diaper rash, rashes and general skin conditions, sore hangnails, weird dry spots, and more.... oh, and monthly breast tenderness... YES, PLEASE!! Dandelion has pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial features and properties - so it's an infection fighter and pain reducer. It's super healing, super soothing and is VERY great rubbed into sore muscles. In our home, we consider it an all-purpose skin healing balm - it's packed with minerals and vitamins as well which promotes general healing for MANY skin conditions.*

• Allergy note... Sweet Almond Oil is derived from Almonds
• It's green... will it stain? I've used this salve repeatedly and have never had any clothing stain. However... I probably wouldn't use it while in my wedding dress, and definitely don't send it through the laundry! {wink, wink!}

A NOTE ABOUT MY SALVES:

My salves are released in small homemade batches after a special (and proprietary) infusion process that took me 6 years to develop! My goal is to move as much of the natural medicinal goodness as I can from the herbs into the oil... and the result is a whole line of salves that have been uniquely currated to be surprisingly effective! In our home, we grab a salve before we EVER pop a pill!

 ABOUT YARROW: Yarrow grows all over the world in meadows, grasslands, mountains and foothills! It is PACKED with medicinal benefits... and when applied as a salve, it's a skin healing bombshell! It's antiseptic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial which helps prevent infection, reduce pain (particularly throbbing) and speeds the healing of minor skin wounds and irritations. It's EXCELLENT for healing acne, it's magical for warts and is also known to improve the appearance of vericose viens when used regularly!  *IF SELF-HARVESTING, BEWARE OF ITS TOXIC LOOK-A-LIKES!

 ABOUT PLANTAIN: Plantain is often considered a weed! It grows in yards, gardens, along roadsides and particularly loves growing in gravel driveways and in concrete cracks! Medicinally, it's considered an all-purpose skin healer! From bites to burns, cuts to scrapes, itchy patches and irritations, this is often the first plant an experienced herbalist will grab when dealing with skin issues. It's naturally anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory making it an excellent addition to any salve!

  ABOUT LAVENDER: Besides its divine aroma, it's widely know for its anti-microbial properties and has been used for centuries to fight infection. It's full of anti-oxidants which contribute to it's ability to speed the healing of burns, cuts and wounds by accelerating skin re-generation. It's a natural pain reliever and reduces inflammation!
ABOUT MYRRH: Myrrh is a sap collected from tapping the Commiphora Myrrha tree. It naturally inhibits microbial growth and is packed with anti-oxidants, making it an exceptional addition to this blend for its skin rejuvination and wound treatment properties.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• CONSISTENCY: Depending on the temperatures where you live, your salve will arrive with a general consistency between a neosporin-type oinment and a slightly firm vaseline. Softness of the salve will vary based on your particular climate and seasonal temperature. Since the salve contains beeswax, avoid leaving in a hot car or in the sun to prevent melting. Your tin will be shrink wrapped to prevent any dripping if it does happen to soften during transit. If melting does occur, simply put it in the refrigerator to return it to its normal consistency.
  
  
• SHELF LIFE: The shelf life of the oil is 1-2 years. So don't put this away in a 72 hour kit that won't get touched for a few years... keep it in your medicine cabinet and you'll find that you'll use it ALL the time! It'll be gone well before the oil in the salve would go bad.
